The first cut-off list was released on September 30. DU released the second cut-off list on October 9 and the admission process began on October 11.

The admissions to the undergraduate courses in the prestigious University of Delhi is ongoing with nearly 52,000 students already enrolling themselves into various Delhi University (DU) colleges. 51,974 students paid their admission fee till Friday 5 pm, the last date for payment under the second cutoff list. Out of this, 36,130 students had paid their fees under the first cutoff list.

The University of Delhi is scheduled to announce a third cutoff list on Saturday. Students can take admission under this list between October 18 and 21, while colleges can approve admissions by October 22. Students are required to pay their fees by October 23.

The Delhi University received a total of 1,18,878 applications under the two cut-off lists. The university is taking admissions on 70,000 seats in various colleges of the university. Although there are around 70,000 sanctioned undergraduate seats in Delhi, many colleges end up admitting more students due to DU's admission policy, which mandates that colleges must admit all students who meet the announced cutoffs. There is no first-come, first-serve policy.

Of the 11 courses in eight DU colleges that saw 100% cutoff under the first list this year, only three courses namely political science, computer science and psychology have closed admissions under the second cutoff list. At least four of these courses, which had reduced cutoffs in the second list, are expected to remain open under the third list as well.

The first cut-off list was released by DU on September 30. DU released the second cut-off list on October 9 and the admission process began on October 11.
