The University of Delhi to begin the admission process under the second cut-off list today (October 11) at 10 am and will continue till October 13, 2021, 11.59 pm. The 2nd cut-off list of Delhi University (DU) was released on October 9 for admission to Undergraduate courses.
According to the general cut-off percentages of all the colleges, students will observe a mild drop of 0.25 to 1.5 percent across most of the courses. The first cut-off list of Delhi University had several colleges keep the admission percentile at 100, which was criticized by many students.
the Delhi University received over 59, 000 applications under the first cut-off list. According to the data shared by the university, over 17,000 students have already paid the fees.
Approximately, the total number of applicants stand at 59,525, while 17,913 students have already paid the fees. Applications of approximately 12,774 applications still have to be approved by the principals of various colleges.
Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College for BSc (Hons) Computer Science cut-off percentage has been dropped by 1.5 percent in the second list. The cut-off percent is now 98.5. However, the list is closed for admissions in SC, ST, PwD, and EWS categories.
The admissions to various courses in Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies and Hansraj College have been closed, their cut-offs were opened at 100 percent.
In Aryabhatta College there is a slight decline of around 0.25 to 1 percent and has released its second cut-off list. The cut-off of BA (Hons) Psychology is now 98.25 percent.
Jesus and Mary College has closed their admissions and there will be no further cut-off lists for the courses it offers, apart from Hindi (Hons).
The cut-off percentage of BA (Honours) Economics and Bcom (Honours) in Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) has been reduced to 99.75 percent and 99.12 percent, respectively in the DU 2nd cut-off list 2021.
For BCom (Hons) course, the second cut-off for Delhi College of Arts and Commerce stands at 98.75 percent, Dyal Singh College cut-off stands at 98 percent while for Deshbandhu College, it stands at 97 percent.
As per reports, the admissions against the first cut-off list filled nearly 50 percent of the seats in Delhi University this year. The third cut-off list by the varsity is set to be released on October 16, 2021.
