The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination is one of the toughest examinations in India. Every year, lakhs of IAS aspirants appear for the UPSC exam but only a few of them are able to crack the UPSC exam. In this article, we will talk about IAS officer Vishakha Yadav, who succeeded in cracking the UPSC exam and secured AIR 6.
Vishakha hails from Delhi. She began her education at Delhi Technological University (DTU), where she studied engineering. Her early dreams, which she held dear to her heart, were firmly entrenched in being an IAS officer. Her journey was characterised by bravery and endurance, which is evidence of her unwavering spirit.
After completing her engineering, Vishakha pursued a professional career, but her heart was still bent on becoming an IAS officer. Even though she was making a solid living at Cisco in Bangalore, her inner calling urged her to pursue her ambition. She made the audacious decision to resign from her position and focus only on getting ready for the IAS exam.
After two previous attempts, Vishakha finally triumphed in 2019 by passing the UPSC test. Her diligent work paid off, as she secured AIR 6 with a total of 1046 points out of 2025. Her success was evidence of her dedication and fortitude, demonstrating that with steadfast focus, dreams may come true.
Vishakha's strength was fortified by her family. Her father, Assistant Sub-Inspector Rajkumar Yadav, and mother, Sarita Yadav supported her and encouraged her goals. Throughout her difficult journey, her parents' continuous support provided a pillar of strength.
Vishakha's accomplishment is all the more impressive when you consider her technical background. She proved that she has no limits when it comes to navigating challenging situations by selecting Political Science and International Relations (PSIR) as her optional subject.
