After the second COVID wave, India has now slowly started to reopen businesses and institutions. Many states, including Punjab, Uttarakhand, have decided to reopen schools partially or fully. Meanwhile, many states like Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, and Madhya Pradesh have already started reopening schools in a phased manner.
Following are the states that are reopening schools from today:

Punjab Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla said that schools in Punjab will take physical classes from pre-primary levels from today. The schools for classes 10 to 12 have already started in Punjab from July 26 and further reopening from August 2 comes as the state government is relaxing COVID restrictions as cases are decreasing.
The schools will function from 8 am to 2 pm and parents will have to give written consent before sending their children to schools, Inder Singla said.
Uttarakhand
Uttarakhand is reopening schools for Class 9-12 students from Monday. This is the first time the state will be reopening schools that were closed due to the pandemic. As part of the phased reopening, Uttarakhand will open schools for Class 6-8 students from August 12, officials said in an order on Saturday.
The order said that students coming to school must have the consent of their parents or guardians for the same.
Students who come to school to attend their classes must have the consent of their parents or guardians for doing so, it added.
