Indian Army Recruitment 2021: Registrations now open for NCC special entry - Check salary, eligibilty, steps to apply

The Indian Army is inviting applications for recruitment of applicants for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC). The entry scheme is especially for NCC candidates and children of battle wounded. 

The Indian Army is looking to fill up 55 vacancies - 50 for men and 5 for women. The Short Service Commission (SSC) will be admitted to the Regular Army for a time period of 14 years - 10 years initially which will be extendable for a period of another 4 years. There will be initial probation of 6 months too. 

If you are interested and eligible then you can apply for the course via the official website - joinindianarmy.nic.in, latest by November 3 at 3 pm. The registrations for the same began on October 5 (Tuesday).

Indian Army NCC Recruitment 2021 - Salary/Stipend 

The stipend for the complete duration of training for cadets is set at Rs 56,100. If you are successfully commissioned, the pay scale will vary from Rs 56,100 to Rs 1,77,500. Other benefits and special allowances will also be provided. 

Indian Army NCC Recruitment 2021 - Step-by-step process to apply 

Step 1: Visit joinindianarmy.nic.in

Step 2: Select 'Officer Entry Apply/Login'

Step 3: Select 'Registration' 

Step 4: Duly fill in the registration form

Step 5: Click on 'Apply Online' under the dashboard which will take you to 'Officers Selection - Eligibility'. 

Step 6: On Short Service Commission NCC Special Entry Course, click 'Apply'.

Step 7: Fill the application form and click submit. 

The total duration of training for selected candidates will be 49 weeks at Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai. The cost of the training will be borne entirely by the government.
