Kerala Rains have caused havoc in several parts of the state, affecting the day-to-day life of people. As per updates, today, on August 30 Kerala schools have been closed in Pathanamthitta, three Taluks of Kottayam and in Kuttanad, as per local media reports. Apart from this, a high alert of heavy rainfall has been issued for several areas.
Kerala Rains have recently lashed several parts of the state and many people have been affected. As per local media, now, train services have also been disrupted in some parts due to water logging. Apart from the areas mentioned above, some Kerala schools in other areas closed themselves due to the situation.
Students and staff may please note that Kerala schools were closed in the mentioned areas only for today. As of now, there are no updates on school closing for tomorrow or other successive dates. In case there are any, the information will be updated here.
Everyone is also advised to keep in touch with their educational institutions for the latest updates on school closing and opening. However, since the weather conditions are bad, everyone is advised to not venture out in the Kerala rains and stay safe.
Apart from Kerala, schools were also closed in Karnataka today due to heavy rainfall. Many people have been affected so far and in some parts, relief operations are also underway. The authorities in-charge have also issued warnings and alerts for everyone, advising them to exercise caution.
