Maharashtra Board HSC, SSC Exam 2021 to be held as per schedule

Earlier, there were reports that these exams might get postponed in the wake of rising COVID-19 cases and subsequent lockdown and night curfews.

Maharashtra HSC, SSC Exams 2021 will be held as per the schedule and there is no question of postponement of the exams, Maharashtra Education Department has clarified it. As per the schedule, the Maharashtra HSC and SSC exams 2021 will be held from April 23 to end of the May. 

Previously, there were reports that these exams might get postponed in the wake of rising COVID-19 cases and subsequent lockdown and night curfew in certain parts of the state. 

As per the media report, the Maharashtra Board HSC, SSC Exam 2021 will be held in offline mode and in the examination hall, following strict COVID-19 protocols during the examination.

The date sheet for the exams will soon be released by the education department. However, exams for classes 9 and 11 have been cancelled and students will be declared passed without exams, reported India Today.

Earlier, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had announced that all students from Class 1-8 will be passed without examinations.

The state government, however, announced that the exams for Class 10, Class 12 Board Exams 2021 will be held offline and the date sheet for these exams will be released soon.

On Tuesday, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) supremo Raj Thackeray addressed a press conference and demanded that class 10 and class 12 students who are appearing for board exams should be promoted without examinations.
