Abhishek Surana, an IAS officer, is one such achiever who quit a well-paying job abroad to succeed in the UPSC exam and join the Indian government.

Every year, millions of aspirants take the UPSC exam, one of India's most difficult, to demonstrate their dedication and perseverance. Candidates come from a variety of backgrounds, including engineering, law, and more, to take the UPSC Civil Service Exam.

Millions of Indians desire to work and live abroad, but some decide to go back to their home country in order to serve it. Abhishek Surana, an IAS officer, is one such achiever who quit a well-paying job abroad to succeed in the UPSC exam and join the Indian government.

Who is Abhishek Surana?

Abhishek Surana, an IAS officer, is a native of Bhilwara, Rajasthan, and attended IIT Delhi to study electrical engineering.  Abhishek Surana, then, began his career as a banker at Barclays Investment Bank in Singapore after receiving his degree from the IIT. Later, he relocated to London to continue working for the same bank.

Abhishek Surana, an IAS officer, eventually joined a mobile app startup company and began working in Chile. At this point, he decided to sit for the UPSC exam and pursue an IAS officer position. Abhishek Surana returned back to India in 2014 and began preparing for the UPSC exam.

Abhishek Surana did not succeed in his first two attempts at the UPSC exam, but he persisted in his pursuit of his goal and passed the exam on his third try, earning him AIR 250. Abhishek Surana, an IAS officer, then took the UPSC exam a final time, earning an AIR 10 this time. Abhishek Surana, an IAS officer, is the current CEO of the Zila Parishad in Jodhpur.
