Life is full of ups and downs but if one is determined enough to fulfill their dreams, they are sure to achieve it. Today, we will tell you about a boy from a small village in Ajitpura, Hanumangarh district, Rajasthan, who, right after he passed 12th, set a goal for himself to get into government service, specifically aiming for the UPSC.
He then started preparing and filling out forms for government exams, but despite training for them, he failed. He persisted through this cycle for thirty exams, facing setbacks each time.
Facing failures of this magnitude is enough to deter anyone. But, this boy never lost his resolve and did not give up after the repeated failures. When he failed in all these exams, instead of giving up, he made another big determination, to pass the UPSC exam. In 2013, he left his village and came to Delhi and started preparing. But, failures did not leave him even here. He failed three times in a row in UPSC as well. People taunted him, how can a person who could not pass normal exams, clear such a difficult exam like UPSC?
Perhaps, no one knew the determination he had. Despite failing in general examinations 30 times and the UPSC exam 3 times, he made his 4th attempt in 2017, and this time the story changed.
He not only passed the UPSC examination but also got an IPS cadre based on his rank. He got 630th rank in the UPSC result of 2018. Those who were taunting him on his failure till yesterday were now congratulating him on his success. The name of that stubborn boy from Rajasthan was Aditya Kumar, who is today an IPS officer in Punjab.
IPS Aditya himself revealed about his journey in a recent interview. These included exams like the All India Engineering Entrance Examination, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, and Banking. When he appeared for the UPSC exam for the first time in 2014, he could not even clear the prelims.
Similarly, in 2015, when he cleared the prelims and mains, he failed in the interview due to overconfidence. The 2016 exam also brought a third chance of failure for him. However, Aditya achieved success in 2017.
Aditya Kumar is currently posted as an ASP in the Sangrur district of Punjab. Aditya Kumar, who studied in Hindi medium, has proved through his success that there is no limit to efforts. Both his parents are teachers and are the ones who inspired Aditya Kumar since childhood that if you want to achieve something, hard work is the only way.
