Meet IAS officer Neha Jain, who quit her job as a successful dentist to crack UPSC exam

Though Dr Neha Jain didn't clear the UPSC exam in the first attempt, she did not give up.

Cracking the Union Public Services (UPSC) Exam and becoming an IAS officer is no mean feat. Many are aware that UPSC is one of the toughest exams to crack. Every year lakhs of students appear in the UPSC exam from India to find a spot in a few 100 seats. 

Some aspirants taste success at the first chance, while others make repeated attempts to achieve it. Today we will tell you the story of Dr Neha Jain, who decided to become an IAS officer after giving up her career as a dentist. Though Neha didn't clear the UPSC exam on the first attempt, she did not give up. 

Neha Jain belongs to Delhi and has also completed her studies in Delhi. After this Neha obtained a degree in Dentistry from a prestigious institute in Delhi. She joined as a Dentist Consultant after obtaining her degree. She had a successful career as a dentist, but UPSC was always her calling. Since she did not want to take a risk with her career, she started preparing for UPSC with a job. 

Neha's advice to other candidates

Neha believes that one can clear the UPSC exam even by studying for just 4-5 hours every day. Also, try to study more and more on weekends. She believes that time management plays a vital role in the preparation of UPSC while having a job. 

Neha believes that you can prepare for this exam even with a job. However, you should decide that in any case you have to pass the exam. Neha too failed many times but instead of panicking, she did the second attempt in a better way. She believes that here success can be achieved by preparing with the right thinking, better strategy, maximum revision, practice of answer writing and most importantly time management.
