Meet IAS officer Nidhi Siwach, who locked herself in a room for 6 months to crack UPSC exam

Nidhi Siwach's hard work paid off as she managed to clear the UPSC exam in the third attempt in 2018 and secured 83rd All India Rank.

We know that UPSC exam is the toughest exam in the country and those who clear this exam are appointed as IAF officers. Aspiring IAS candidates try their best to clear the UPSC exam and some of them push themselves really hard to achieve their goal. IAS officer Nidhi Siwach is one such person as she kept herself locked in a room for 6 months and devoted her time to studies in order to clear the UPSC exam.

Nidhi Siwach's hard work paid off as she managed to clear the UPSC exam in the third attempt in 2018 and secured 83rd All India Rank. Nidhi was later selected for the post of IAS.

Nidhi Siwach hails from Gurugram, Haryana. She has secured 95% and 90% marks in her Class 10th and Class 12th examinations respectively. She is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from Deenbandhu Chhoturam University, Sonipat, Haryana. After completing his engineering, Nidhi went to Hyderabad to work as a design engineer in Tech Mahindra but left her job in 2017 and started her preparation for UPSC exam.

Nidhi opted for History as her optional subject and chose English as the optional medium. Nidhi decided to chose History as her optional subject because she said that her 9th and 10th class syllabus helped her a lot.

Nidhi Siwach is currently posted in Gujarat as an IAS Officer.
