Cracking UPSC exam and becoming an IAS officer is the dream of several Indians and many UPSC aspirants work hard for years to achieve their goal. But in this article we will talk about a woman who has decided to leave her job as an IAS officer to pursue another profession. The woman is Dr Tanu Jain, who has now left her civil services job. Tanu Jain is a 2015 batch IAS officer. Tanu Jain studied at Cambridge School in Delhi and she grew up in Sadar area of ​​the national capital. It is to be noted that Tanu Jain also studied medicine before cracking UPSC exam and becoming an IAS officer. She has obtained the degree of BDS i.e. Bachelors of Dental Surgery from Subharti Medical College. Tanu Jain started preparing for UPSC while she was pursuing BDS.

After becoming an IAS officer, she continued her social service works as well as motivational speaking sessions. Tanu Jain also continued to write books and she is also very popular on social media. She has more than 96k followers on Instagram. Apart from this, Tanu Jain also has a lot of interest in teaching and she has opened an IAS coaching center named Tathastu in Delhi few months ago.

Recently, Tanu Jain decided to quit her job as an IAS officer and become a full-time teacher. Explaining the reason behind her decision to quit IAS and become a teacher, Tanu Jain said, "My job was going very well. I worked for seven and a half years. But I saw problems in UPSC preparation. I myself have prepared for the exam and have struggled a lot, so I am aware of the difficulties aspirants faced during the preparation. Life often gives you opportunities to do something and improve. Since my husband is in civil service, I had this opportunity. I could take the risk of going ahead in life.

In her first attempt, Tanu Jain had cleared the UPSC prelims exam in just 2 months of preparation. However, she couldn't clear the main exam. She secured 648th rank in her third attempt in 2014.
