One of the most difficult exams in India is the UPSC Civil Services Exam. Each year lakhs of UPSC aspirants appear in the exam with an aim to crack it and become IAS officers. But only a few of them succeed in cracking the UPSC exam and becoming IAS officers. In this article, we will talk about 2014 batch IAS officer Saloni Sidana whose inspection videos and photos are going viral these days.

Saloni Sidana is the DM of the Mandla district in Madhya Pradesh. On Wednesday, Saloni visited the district's schools for inspection. She also checked the mid-day meal given to the students.

A video went viral on social media in which she can be seen feeding a government school's cook, Teeja Bai, food from her plate. Netizens are praising her for her simplicity. During the inspection, she ate the mid-day meal and also fed Teeja Bai, with her own hands. Her picture of feeding Teeja Bai is going viral on social media since then. 

Let us tell you, before preparing for UPSC, she was studying medicine. Saloni completed her MBBS in Delhi and works as a radiologist at the AIIMS before opting for civil services. She cleared the UPSC exam in her first attempt in 2013 by securing the 74th rank and was given the Andhra cadre.

When IAS Saloni Sidana spent Rs 500 on her wedding

Saloni Sidana is a 2014 batch IAS officer of the MP cadre. Earlier she was in Andhra Pradesh cadre. Later, she got married to Ashish Vashishta, an IAS officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre, by paying a court fee of Rs 500 in the office of Bhind additional district magistrate. Within two days, the couple reported for work. Sidana distributed sweets at the collectorate office and earned praise for setting an example.

Saloni is a daughter of an agriculturist in Punjab’s Jalalabad district, she fell in love with Ashish of the same batch while undergoing training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie.
