It is all about perseverance, hard work and determination that make a person successful in life. The same goes with the 18-year-old Hrutul Chhag from Kodinar in Gujarat’s Gir Somnath who cracked the medical entrance exam - NEET 2021. Hrutul Chhag has secured the All India Rank (AIR) 5 in the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) 2021.

Hailing from a modest middle-class family, Hrutul, a student of Rajkot school had to stay home and attend online classes due to the COVID-19 pandemic instead of preparing in a highly competitive environment with like-minded peers. The topper dreams to become a neurosurgeon one day.

Despite the initial hardships, self-control, hard work and strict routine made him not only crack the exam but also secure the All India Rank (AIR) 5. Hrutul says he use to study for 10-12 hours every day and simultaneously practice sample question papers to assess his preparations on regular basis.

Hrutul Chhag secured 715 marks out of 720 in NEET 2021. The NEET 2021 results were declared on Monday. After scoring 95.6% in class 10 exams from Kodinar school, Hrutul shifted to Rajkot for further studies and got 93.4% in class 12 from Krishna International School of Rajkot. His main subjects were physics and biology.

For future NEET aspirants, Hrutul suggests that NCERT is the most important source of study. Hrutul Chhag wants to get admission in the country's premier medical institute, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi and wants to become a neurosurgeon.
