Vidushi was raised in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, but her family is from Ayodhya. She began preparing for the UPSC after earning a BA Hons (Economics) from Delhi University's esteemed Shri Ram College of Commerce in 2021. She studied independently while attending college in order to get ready for the test rather than enrolling in any coaching.

During graduation, she laid the groundwork by reading NCERT and other basic books. She then passed the UPSC Civil Services Examination with All India Rank 13 on her first attempt at the age of 21. She had chosen Economics as an optional subject.

 Though Vidushi achieved the highest rank, she opted for IFS over IAS. In an interview, she stated that she selected the Indian Foreign Service (IFS) over the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) because his grandparents' dream was to work as government officers there.

 She gave numerous test series and mock exams in order to succeed in the UPSC exam, she said while outlining her approach. Since she believed that independent study was the true secret to success, he did not enlist the assistance of any coaching classes.
