Laghima's secret to success was self-study and exam series in the absence of guidance

Laghima Tiwari, a graduate of Delhi Technological University's electronics and communication engineering program, achieved All India Rank 19 in the UPSC CSE 2022 on her first try in an amazing show of perseverance and consistency. Her achievement is a tribute to her persistent determination; she hails from Alwar in Rajasthan. 

She began her year-long UPSC preparation journey in 2021, following her graduation. Laghima had stated in an interview that she gained knowledge from toppers' YouTube interviews. She talked about current events, basic GS, and static sections.

She had counseled candidates to make regular efforts, regardless of how long they study for; this will unquestionably provide the ideal outcomes for them. She also emphasized the need of ongoing effort and revision, and she advised candidates to plan their preparation ahead of time.

Following the preliminary exam, Laghima had counseled applicants to economize on time and to begin preparing for the main exam as soon as possible. After studying biology from class 9 to class 12, Laghima decided to choose anthropology as an optional subject for the UPSC Mains exam, demonstrating that making unconventional decisions can pay off. 

Her experience highlights the need of careful planning, stress reduction techniques, and an open mind. She said that her parents are the reason behind her success and that she is the first person in her family to choose a career in the public services.  Her incredible story inspires future civil servants and reaffirms the notion that everything is possible with enough commitment and effort.
