Persistence and patience are crucial for being successful in life as it can take time to get outcomes sometimes, but those who don’t quit eventually clinch success. One such inspiring story is of IFS Pujya Priyadarshini.

Born in a middle-class family from Delhi, she did her graduation in B.Com and then pursued post-graduation in Public Administration from the University of Columbia in New York.

Subsequently, Pujya secured numerous job offers from renowned companies. She then worked in a prestigious company for two years.

However, she wasn’t happy with her job and wanted to do something meaningful which contributed to the entire nation. That is when she dreamt of becoming a civil servant.

However, her initial attempt in 2013 was a failure. After 2 attempts, she took a three-year break to prepare properly. In 2016, she qualified till the interview round but faced another failure. Undeterred, she made another attempt in 2017. However, she narrowly failed to clear exam in the 2017, which prompted her to consider quitting the UPSC journey.

However, she persisted after being encouraged by the support of her family. She finally cracked the 2018 UPSC examination by securing All India Rank 11.

She chose to become an IFS and is presently working as a diplomat and is posted in France.

While sharing her success mantra, Pujya emphasized on the importance of hard work and patience in preparing for the UPSC exam. Her story is living proof that unflinching dedication will eventually lead to success in life.
