Their educational backgrounds from IITs have equipped them with not only technical prowess but also a commitment to innovative problem-solving.

In the heart of Uttar Pradesh, Deoria district is witnessing a remarkable era of leadership unlike any other. Here, four exceptional individuals, all alumni of India's prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), are steering the district towards a promising future.

Leading this unique cadre is Shashank Mani Tripathi, Member of Parliament for Deoria, a graduate of IIT Delhi and holder of an MBA from Switzerland. Alongside him is Divya Mittal, the district magistrate and also an IIT Delhi alumna, who holds a postgraduate degree from IIM Mumbai. Sankalp Sharma, the Superintendent of Police, brings his expertise as an IIT Roorkee graduate in chemical engineering. Completing this quartet is Pratyush Pandey, the Chief Development Officer, who graduated in civil engineering from IIT Kanpur and holds an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad.

Their educational backgrounds from IITs have equipped them with not only technical prowess but also a commitment to innovative problem-solving. "At IIT, besides developing intellect, it teaches us commitment to work hard and bring innovative solutions to problems," remarked Shashank Mani Tripathi.

Divya Mittal emphasised the practical advantages of her technical education in governance, noting, "Knowledge gained from IITs certainly helps in certain situations as a government officer." Sankalp Sharma, reflecting on his role in policing, highlighted, "Being an engineer, I depend on logic. However, academic lessons are of less utility in policing, but experience gained in the field is immensely helpful in public service."

Pratyush Pandey underscored the collaborative spirit among the IIT alumni, stating, "It would be an interesting experience to work with fellow IITians in the district to bring about a change in the lives of people."

As these leaders chart a new course for Deoria, optimism brews among residents for the district's transformation.
