Odisha CHSE Board Class 12 exams 2021 cancelled. "Students' lives more important than any exam," says CM Naveen Patnaik

The council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) has cancelled Odisha CHSE Board Class 12 exam 2021. The reason to cancel the exam was due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation in India. The information was confirmed by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. He said, "Students' lives more important than any exam." 

 

Odisha plus two exams for Arts, Science and Commerce streams were scheduled to begin on May 18.

 

Amid the rise in Covid-19 cases in India, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha Matric Exam 2021 has was also cancelled earlier. The board has released the marking criteria for Class 10 result 2021. The result will be based on the internal marks obtained during class 9 and class 10. The Odisha Board class 10 exams were scheduled to be conducted from May 3 to May 15.

 

 

The central government on Tuesday decided that Class 12 board exams of CBSE would not be held this year in view of the uncertain conditions due to COVID-19 and the feedback obtained from various stakeholders.

 

The government said CBSE will take steps to compile the results of Class 12 students as per well-defined objective criteria in a time-bound manner. It was also decided that like last year, in case some students desire to take the exams, such an option would be provided to them by CBSE, as and when the situation becomes conducive.
