In a good news for those who are willing to join the postal department, the Indian Post on Monday (August 24) invited applications to apply for 581 vacancies for Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) position for Cycle 3 under Uttarakhand Postal Circle. Eligible candidates can apply for the job posts on appost.in.
Selected candidates will be recruited for the posts of Branch Postmaster, Assistant Branch Postmaster and Dak Sevak. The last date to submit the application is September 22 2021.
The notification issued by India Post said that the vacancies will be filled in various districts such as Almora, Chamoli, Dehradun, Nainital, Pauri, Pithoragarh, RMS DN DIVISION and Tehri.

Candidates must have passed class 10 from a recognised board of education. Must have studied the local language at least up to the 10th standard.
Age limit must be between 18 and 40 years as of August 23, 2021.
The additional requirement includes basic knowledge of computers and knowledge of cycling.

The selected candidates will be paid a monthly remuneration of Rs 10,000 to Rs 14,500 depending on their post.
