The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) will conduct the Tamil Nadu Combined Services Group IV Exam (Combined Civil Services Examination-IV) today, i.e. September 1 from 10 AM. The exam will continue until 1 PM.
All the candidates who are appearing for the examination are advised to reach the exam venue early and follow the following list of important things to remember for a smooth examination process.
TNPSC Group IV Exam 2019
The question paper for the TNPSC Group IV Exam 2019 will be available in two different types for students with different linguistic prowess.
The Type-1 paper will be in General English, while Type-2 will be in General Tamil. Both the papers will test the students' General Studies, Aptitude, and Mental Ability under the SSLC Std.
The duration of the exam will be for three hours, with maximum marks of 300. The minimum qualifying marks for the selection, for all communities, is 90, i.e. 30% of the maximum marks.
The candidates are advised to reach the examination centre at least an hour before the exam commences for security checking and other protocols. The examinees will be made to enter the hall 30 minutes prior to the scheduled time.
Candidates should also avoid wearing metallic objects to the examination because these will be flagged during the security check.
The official notification by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) dated June 14, 2019, has stated that the behavioural conduct of the examinees during the time of the exam will be strictly monitored and candidates can be banned once charged with misbehaviour or cheating. Therefore, remember that taking communication devices like phones and other electronic devices inside the hall is strictly prohibited.

The TNPSC had earlier taken out a notification announcing the grand total of 6491 vacancies in Combined Civil Services (Group IV), including Junior Assistant, Village Administrative Officer, Field Surveyor, and Typist, for which the candidates will be appearing today.
