Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' on Tuesday (February 2) announced the UGC NET 2021 exam which will be conducted by the National Testing Agency will conduct the UGC NET 2021 exam on 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 14 & 17 May 2021.
“National Testing Agency will conduct next UGC-NET exam for Junior Research Fellowship & eligibility for Assistant Professor on 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 14 & 17 May 2021,” tweeted Pokhriyal on Tuesday.
Here are five important pointers that candidates appearing for the UGC-NET exam should take note of :
Registration: March 2, 2021 is the deadline and the option to deposit the exam fee will remain open till March 3 (11.50 pm)
Application fee: For general category candidates is Rs 1000, for EWS and OBC (non-creamy layer) is Rs 500 and for others is Rs 250.
Exam pattern: The exam will be computer-based and will consist of two papers. Both the papers will comprise objective type, multiple-choice questions. There will be no break between papers. The medium of exams will be in English and Hindi only.
Marks: Each question carries two marks. There is no negative marking for an incorrect response.
Two papers: Paper 1 will carry 100 marks while Paper 2 will carry 200 marks. Candidates should keep tracking the official site of UGC-NET for more updates.
