We all know that Bumrah belongs to a Sikh family, Sanjana on the other hand has Tamil heritage. So, their wedding was a union of two cultures.
India pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who recently tied a knot with sports presenter and anchor Sanjana Ganesan, on Friday thanked his fans for the love and support the couple has received this week.
The premier fast bowler on Friday shared adorable pictures with his wife and described the feeling of getting hitched as "nothing short of absolutely magical". "The last few days have been nothing short of absolutely magical! We are so grateful for all the love & wishes we've received. Thank you," Bumrah tweeted.
Bumrah had earlier shared adorable pictures from the wedding ceremony and the cricketer termed the date (March 15) as one of the happiest days of their lives.
And while we all know that Bumrah belongs to a Sikh family, Sanjana on the other hand has Tamil heritage. So, their wedding too was a union of the two cultures in a way. While the wedding took place according to Sikhism in an Anand Karaj ceremony, the haldi festivities were all about celebrating Sanjana's Tamil heritage.

Jasprit Bumrah wore an Antar Agni kurta set while Sanjana chose to wear a yellow jamdani sari from Anavila. The jamdani has floral motifs all over along with a contrast selvedge of silver Zari detailing. Both of them paired their outfits with Aprajita Toor footwear.

Jasprit & Sanjana both chose a hand painted outfit in traditional pichwai art. The lehenga is exquisitely hand-painted and inspired by mystical Indian forests. Each motif is precisely created by master artisans from Jaipur learned in the ancient Pichhwai art form. Their careful strokes are complemented with our signature gota patti hand embroidery and embellished with dori, pearls, zari, zardosi, and sequins. She paired her outfit with Pinkcity by Anita Dongre jewellery and they both completed their looks with Anita Dongre footwear.

Jasprit wore a deconstructed silhouette in navy with black embroidery and metal detailing from Kunal Rawal. The outfit was detailed with custom-made Kunal Rawal Ashoka buttons paired with bespoke patent black brogues to complete the look. Sanjana Ganesan chose a rich purple lehenga with gotta patti hand embroidery by Anita Dongre for the function. She paired exquisite jadau jewellery from Pinkcity by Anita Dongre and completed her look with handcrafted shoes by Aprajita Toor.

Jasprit Bumrah wore a bespoke Kunal Rawal Vanilla Libra Kurta highlighted with texture play and metallic threadwork embroidery paired with slim pants and completed his looks with patent mojris. Sanjana Ganesan wore handcrafted fine jewellery from Mahesh Notandass and juttis by Fizzy Goblet.

Jaspirt Bumrah looked dapper in Italian luxury fashion brand Zegna. His made-to-measure suit has been designed by the brand's Artistic Director Alessandro Sartori while Sanjana looked royal in a violet off-shoulder gown that featured a thigh-high slit. Jasprit Bumrah and Sanjana Ganesan gave customised giveaways to guests that were made by Indus People. Packaged in pink and gold, the gift boxes contained two stoneware cups with 24 carat gold petals and a jar of Kashmiri Apple Green Tea.
