The second song from the Raabta soundtrack is finally here - the Raabta title track - in all its Deepika Padukone led glory. So, here are 3 reasons why we adore the new release:
1. The music: The music and production on Raabta is what we love the most. The song is a club banger, far from the other kind of material we've seen coming out of the movie. The song is influenced by europop and synth-pop to become a dance number, not unlike the kind of chart-topping hits we hear from the likes of Calvin Harris and Zedd. And that's only the latter half of the song. The song starts off slow and soft, sounding like the kind of ballad you'd expect from the movie. For the mood of this season, the song is perfect. The song has been composed by Pritam and sung wonderfully by Nikhita Gandhi.

2. The video: The video of the song plays out like a normal Bollywood item song and dance, with a Bollywood siren making an appearance for the song. But at least this time, it's not set in a club or a bar. The setting of the video and performance is a high society party, where antagonist Jim Sarbh's Zak introduces everyone to Kriti Sanon's Saira. Sushant Singh Rajput's Shiv is there, spying on the two. The video amps up the tension a bit as soon as you take one look at Sushant's face, and the video ends with a montage of clips from the trailer showing some of the more intense parts of the movie. Thankfully, we didn't have to revisit the reincarnation plot again.

3. Deepika Padukone: Deepika is clearly the highlight of the video, looking just as glamorous as ever. Instead of being the typical item girl or 'classy courtesan', Deepika is a true performer, looking like a goth princess. She manages to perfectly maintain an attitude of being completely untouchable and alluring, someone with a secret to hide. Her appearance gives the film even more star appeal to add to its already well-known cast, and perfectly complements the song. She steals the limelight from Kriti and Sushant and owns the song like no other!
