5 reasons that make Zee's new channel 'Zindagi' a must-watch
Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) is all set to launch its new channel 'Zindagi' on Monday, June 23. The channel is a rare product of the company as it will only air shows with content set beyond the borders of India.
In its initial phase, Zindagi will air syndicated shows from Pakistan.
Talking about the channel, ZEEL managing director and CEO, Punit Goenka said that the first set of content will be coming from Pakistan but the channel will later outsource content from countries like Egypt, Turkey and even Latin America as well.
Zindagi will be India's first ever General Entertainment Channel (GEC) to air daily soaps based on love stories, family dramas set up in various different nations other than India. The channel which goes with the slogan 'Jodein dilon ko' (bringing hearts closer) intends to deliver Indian audiences with shows that will connect them to people beyond borders.
Here are 5 things that make Zindagi a must-watch channel and sets it apart from other GECs
1) The never seen before content of this channel
No other Indian GEC ever has ever aired syndicated content from Pakistan. The plots of the shows are completely new to the Indian masses, as most of its material is generated from the works of award-winning novelists and literary stalwarts of Pakistan. The content is also designed in a way to make it more relevant to the Indian audience.
2) The rare concept of this channel
Since the channel has content from countries like Pakistan, Egypt, Turkey and Latin America it will help people dismiss all stereotypical notions and ill perceptions about people living in other countries. The intention of the channel which is to create a sense of connectedness with people from other countries makes it a rare one.
3) Assurance of quality content
This channel being a venture of Zee, which is currently the leading entertainment channel group in the country with 700 plus million viewers across 170 countries, is expected to air quality content like its other channels.
4) A new beginning for cultural exchange between India and other nations
Zindagi's content would undoubtedly mark a new beginning for cultural exchanges between India and other countries. Given the situation between India and Pakistan, this channel would initiate a different direction towards peace between the two nations. In fact, on his recent visit to India, Pakistani PM Nawaz Sharif met Essel group's chairman Subhash Chandra to discuss about the content of this channel.
5) The first ever venture of it's kind in the country
This channel is the first of it's kind and if you like watching something new apart from the usual Saas-Bahu drama, this channel is a must-watch. With stories beyond the borders, viewers will be spoilt for choice with some new well enacted soaps and new actors playing the lead.
