Shah Rukh Khan's 'Happy New Year' has been generating the highest buzz ever since its trailer launch and it has already reached out to a whooping 70 million people worldwide. With a trailer that speaks volumes of the grandeur that is synonymous with the SRK-Deepika Padukone starrer, 'Happy New Year' has definitely upped our expectations from the film.

We are excited to catch this film this Diwali and here's why:

It's a Shah Rukh Khan film, after all:

Shah Rukh Khan had a jackpot with 'Chennai Express' shattering all previous box office records last year. Given that the superstar enjoys a huge fan following and that 'Happy New Year' is his only release for the year, expectations as well the euphoria is sky-rocketing. After all, its a Shah Rukh Khan film and that's reason enough for us to watch this one!

Deepika Padukone's winning streak:

Deepika Padukone seems to be on a victory home-run ever since 'Cocktail' happened. While all her films last year have run into the Rs 100 and Rs 200 crore clubs, she has definitely found recognition as a terrific performer. While it was Deepika's South Indian twang that worked wonders for her in 'Chennai Express' last year, it would be nice to catch Dippy's Maharashtrian mulgi avatar this time!

Farah Khan's grand canvas for the film:

The trailer speaks volumes of the grand canvas on which the film is built. From the starting scene to the dance sequences, the film looks like a typical Farah Khan flick, filled with all the usual Farah Khan elements, but only in a grander fashion! Farah Khan has created another magnum opus, this one being the closest to the term in truest sense. Celebratory and exultant, the film revolves around the life of six losers who eventually emerge victorious.

The heist genre:

Heist films are working really well in Bollywood today. Look at Aamir Khan and Salman Khan's last films! Both 'Dhoom: 3' and 'Kick' developed its story on heist and they went to rake in huge moolah at the box office. With 'Happy New Year' blending two diametrically opposite genres- dance and heist to make a 'dance heist' film, we can expect a tornado at the box office this Diwali.

The action sequences:

Although one might mistake the film to only be about the dance and the chori, the trailer gives us a glimpse of what more we can actually expect from the film! After pulling some high-octane stunts in his last, 'Chennai Express', Shah Rukh can be seen packing in the punch with some grueling action sequences in 'Happy New Year' as well. From the underwater scene to the jump from the tower, the action in the film looks spectacular, creating a new standard for the future heist films!
