Actor Prakash Rai, who was roped in to play a crucial part in Yograj Bhat’s Kannada film Drama, is likely to be replaced by Tamil actor Sharath Kumar.

One of the highlights of Yograj Bhat’s latest venture that’s under production, Drama, is its powerful star cast. Curiosity surrounding the film naturally went up a notch higher after the director announced that award winning actor Prakash Rai would also be joining the team. But even as the cast and crew are gearing up for their second schedule, news is pouring in that Rai is no longer a part of the film.

The acclaimed actor who was very keen on doing the film had to opt out to take care of his mother who is unwell, sources say.

“Due to date problems, Rai is unable to join the team at this point and we are not in a position to postpone the shooting either. So we are now considering finding another actor to play his role,” says Bhat. Tamil actor R Sarathkumar, who was recently seen making an impact in Sarathi and Kannada actor Kishore are the probable replacements.

Drama is said to be a hilarious take on the attitudes of youngsters. The film is also out to say how things always don’t go as planned. “In a very fun way the film will establish how we humans are puppets in the hands of God. The story is unique and all my actors are doing justice to the script,” adds Bhat.

Apart from the story and the cast that includes Ambareesh, Radhika Pandit, Ninasam Satish, Suchendra Prasad and Yash, it is the music that you need to watch out for, according to the director. “I can confidently say that this is going to be a one-of-its-kind music album. We have experimented a lot with sounds.

Even when it comes to the execution of songs, we are trying to do things differently. The lyrics are also really different,” he concludes.
