'Acharya' teaser out: Chiranjeevi packs a punch in Koratala Siva directorial

One of 2021's most awaited film's starring megastar Chiranjeevi and superstar Ram Charan together for the first time ever, 'Acharya's' teaser is out now.

Directed by Koratala Siva, besides Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan, the film also stars Kajal Aggarwal. For the uninformed, Ram Charan and Niranjan Reddy are jointly producing the film under Konidela Production Company and Matinee Entertainment. Mani Sharma is scoring the music. The film is slated for release in summer, 2021. 

Coming back to the teaser, it seems like the film is set in a religious village that is threaned by the existence of some unruly outsiders who attack the villagers at a time they are performing a yajna. As people begin to abandon the village to escape dictatorship by a few, they finally see a messiah in the form of Chiranjeevi, shown as a revolutionary who paints the town red with the blood of those who attacked the innocent villagers. An intense, high-action filled sequence follows and Chiranjeevi manages defeat the outsiders without much effort. 

And while the sequence is unfolding, in the background one can hear Ram Charan's narration. In the teaser, he apparently reminds the viewers that God doesn't necessarily has to come down each time to save us from injustice. Sometimes, a comrade is all we need. Earlier in a tweet, "a comrade's quest for Dharma," Koratala Siva had said about the film.

Meanwhie, talking about sharing screen space with his father for the first time ever, Ram Charan said in a statement, "It will be an absolute honour for me to be able to share the same frame as my father. Also, it is not a cameo but a full fledged role for me. I want to thank director Koratala Siva for making this happen."

Koratala Siva added, "I couldn't have imagined anyone else playing Sidha in Acharya. This is perfect casting for the role and the project."

In 'Acharya', the Mani Sharma-Chiranjeevi combo are also reunited and are all set to break their own music records. Apart from that, many of India's top technicians are on board for the film.
