This comedian-turned-hero is now off to Goa. No, Santhanam is not going on a holiday but is headed to Goa now for the shooting of his film Server Sundaram. The shooting will start from Monday in Goa and continue till June. Post that, the cast and crew are headed to places like Dubai and Thanjavur.
The original Server Sundaram movie came out in 1964 and starred Nagesh. It had a screenplay by K Balachander and was a superhit. Santhanam is now trying to emulate Nagesh in a more modern version as a chef, rather than as a waiter.
And Santhanam has ensured that the audience will get to see him essay the role authentically. Reportedly, 15 chefs have been roped in as consultants for the film. Moreover, filmmaker Anand Balki being a chef himself, has been working on each and every element of Server Sundaram to make sure it's a treat for the audience.
When a music director like Santhosh Narayanan is on board, the music is bound to be one of the highlights of the movie. A few songs have already been completed and Santhosh Narayanan is now working on the third one, say the filmmakers.
The filmmakers also state that the sets and costumes will be highlights in the movie as it revolves around food and cooking.
