Actress Malvi Malhotra stabbed thrice by producer for refusing to marry him

In a shocking piece of news, actress Malvi Malhotra, who has worked in a television show and Hindi film 'Udaan' and 'Hotel Milan' respectively, was on Monday, attacked by a person identified as Yogesh Kumar Mahipal Singh, for refusing to marry him. 

Following the deadly attack, the actress was immediately admitted to Mumbai's Kokilaben Ambani hospital. 

The accused, Yogesh, had earlier met Malvi twice as a producer. Later, after meeting her, Yogesh proposed Malvi, insisted and pressurised her to get married to him. However, on being refused, he took the drastic step and stabbed the actress thrice and fled the incident spot. 

The actress was immediately taken to hospital and as per reports, while she is currently out of danger, her treatment is still underway. 

A case under section 307 and section 354 has been registered at Versova Police Station, Mumbai and investigation are currently underway. 

According to reports, Malvi informed the police that she came in contact with Yogesh in 2019 through Facebook and met him in January this year. Consequently, after their meeting, Yogesh proposed marriage to her and built pressure on her to marry him. On being refused, the accused planned the life-taking attack on Malvi.
