Wow, that's like traversing from mythology to the future...

The handsome actor Kunal Kapoor surely seems to be on a roll, with big budget epic films like 'Veeram' Tigmanshu Dhulia's war drama 'Raagdesh' Reema Kagti's 'Gold' in his kitty, the actor now has bagged yet another big budget project – titled Doga, India’s first super hero show.

While internationally there are a number of hugely popular superhero shows, from Daredevil to Gotham, India is yet to produce its own superhero show. Doga is considered to be amongst the most popular superheroes created in India. Created in 1992 by Raj comics, it's still one of the highest selling comic books, twenty five years later.

The antihero vigilante will be played by self-confessed comic geek Kunal Kapoor. Unlike other superheroes, Doga has no super powers and solely relies on his combat skills, especially in martial arts and boxing, and his remarkable physical strength. Will it not be a mammoth task for him to transform into the character.

Spilling in some more details, versatile actor Kunal Kapoor said, “Doga is by far the most ambitious project I have been part of. I have dreamt of playing this character for a long time, and I'm very happy that's it taking shape now. Doga is a superhero, the kind of which has never been seen. He is dark, angry and an antihero”

Adding further he says “It's going to be extremely challenging. Doga is the ultimate badass and is built like a beast. Besides that, there will have to be a lot of different martial arts that I'll have to learn. It's a huge responsibility, but I'm ready for it'”

Commenting more it Manish Gupta from Raj Comics says that "Since its inception Raj Comics has entertained millions of Fans with such Popular Comics Characters as Nagraj, Super Commando Dhruv, Doga, Bheriya and many more. Doga is a very ambitious project for us and we are recruiting some of the best minds and creative talent to bring this on screen"
