Filmmaker Sargunam’s Kalavani is one of the most loved commercial entertainers set in the backdrop of hinterlands. Now, the team is ready with the sequel Kalavani 2, which is currently in the final stages of post-production. The second installment will have a fresh premise and a hard-hitting storyline too. While Vemal and Bigg Boss sensation Oviya will be seen playing the lead roles like the first part, the same star-cast of Kalavani including Saranya Ponvannan, Ilavarasu and Ganja Karuppu will be seen sharing the screen space again in important roles. In addition, few more prominent actors like Mayilsamy are included in the star-cast as well.
"Durai Sudhakar would be playing the antagonistic role in the movie, but his characterization will be completely different and unique from routine villain characters and will be definitely noticed too," a source from the team told DNA. The makers assure that the characterization of Oviya will be yet another highlight in Kalavani 2 and will be completely contrastive to her role in 90ml.
The team is happy that the song “Vote-u Kekka Vandhaaingalae” has grabbed the attention of netizens. Directed and produced by A. Sargunam for Varmans Production, Screen Scene Media Entertainment is releasing Kalavani by May 2019. Since Oviya's previous outing 90ML flunked at the box-office, the Bigg Boss sensation is hoping to score a box-office win with Kalavani 2 in May.
