The actor to return as Ansh Gujral’s son in ‘Kyunkii…’

He was the most hated character in ‘Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’.

Having played Ansh Gujral, his blue-eyed and pony-tailed look made Akashh Deep Saigal one of the most popular negative characters, even after his death in the show. But he’s coming back.

Akashh Deep will now play Ansh Gujral’s son in the 20-year-leap in the show.

“I’ve been talking to Ektaa Kapoor.  Balaji is keen that I return as Ansh’s son. But nothing has been put on paper,” says Akashh Deep.
The actor admits that the character of Ansh Gujral was a “boom in his career.”

He says, “I did have long blond locks. When I went for my audition Ektaa added the blue lens.”

Incidentally, Akashh Deep was selected from 1,150 actors who had also auditioned for the show.

So will he be playing the negative character again as Ansh Gujral’s son? “I am not sure what the character will demand in the 20-year-leap. I am game for anything. Since nothing has been put on paper, I don’t want to talk about it now,” he says.

Akashh Deep who had won the Gladrags Manhunt in 1997 and has also acted in films like ‘Pyar Mein Kabhi Kabhi’ and ‘Supaari’ is now busy with his directorial debut. “I am making a feature film for children,” he says.

The actor reveals that the two-hour long film will have six songs all composed by him.

“The film is about dreams and how hard work is the only way to achieve them,” says Akashh. The film has child-actor Sameer Khan and Shakti Singh (Mansukh Virani in ‘Kyunkii’) among others.

“It’s a stressful procedure to make a film. But this is what I wanted to do,” confesses Deep.

The film spotlights a young boy who runs a tea-stall named ‘Aishwarya Tea Stall’.

The actor hopes to release the film by mid-year.
