Ten days ago, Akshay Kumar shot for one more song for his film Boss. The song Har Kisi Ko Nahin Milta from Feroz Khan’s Jaanbaaz was filmed on Shiv Pandit and Aditi Rao Hydari shot in locations across Delhi and Thailand. Last month the producers decided to shoot the same song with Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha as well. Feroz Khan’s classic love song has been transformed into a contemporary version by Chirantan Bhatt.

It was a tough call to reshoot the second version of the song (a duet this time) on Akshay-Sonakshi. That’s when Akshay suggested that since it was a song from a Feroz Khan film, they should shoot it like he would have. Thereby also paying respect to the late actor-director, who Akshay greatly admires. So a set was erected that had all the quintessential elements of a FK movie a ranch, horses, saddles, a windmill, cowboy hats and all that the original Khan stood for. Even the clothes that Khiladi Kumar wore had the classic FK touch.

Ahmed Khan who shot the song was very clear about his vision. “I wanted a lot of flamboyance to come across, which Feroz Khan was famous for. And also, we needed to make this version as different from the other version in the film.” Akshay feels proud that he got the opportunity to be a part of such a legendary song on screen. “I consider Feroz Khan as the boss of coolness and style.

I hope I have been able to do justice to his personality,” he says.

When asked about what he feels about the fact that Akshay is paying a tribute to Feroz Khan, his son Fardeen Khan says, “I tip my hat to Akki’s taste.”
