Amala, one of the most lively actors of her times is all set to make a comeback to Bollywood albeit in a cameo. She will be seen in Listen Amaya as Deepti Naval’s sister-in-law. The actress is best remembered for her silent movie Pushpak. Now she will be seen in a Hindi film after a gap of 23 years.

The actress, who is married to Nagarjuna, was last seen in David Dhawan’s Jurrat. She later continued to do Tamil and Telugu films but gave up Bollywood. "I chased her for six months before she said yes," reveals Avinash.

"I had shot a documentary with Nagarjuna and Amala for British Council years ago and I wanted her to do my film," says the director who makes his debut with Listen Amaya. The film also stars Farooque Shaikh. Having done the rounds of film festivals, the film is now all set to release in India.
