Tollywood dream couple and internet favourites Samantha Ruth Prabhu Akkineni and Naga Chaitanya, son of Telugu superstar Nagarjuna, on Saturday, ended weeks of speculation and announced their separation on social media after four years of marriage. The couple, popularly known as ChaySam, confirmed the news in an official statement from Naga Chaitanya, shared by Samantha, which they released on October 2. They requested their fans and media to allow them privacy. Samantha and Chaitanya maintained that they will always 'hold a special bond' between them.
And while the news of the star couple's separation spread like wildfire, #ChaySam became one of the top trends on social media with fans using the hashtag to recall the duo's romantic moments, and share their throwback video clips and stunning photos together.
Meanwhile, did you know that Samantha Ruth Prabhu has three tattoos all of which have a connection with now estranged husband Chaytainya? Samantha has the name 'Chay' inked on the right side of her rib. The diva flaunted the tattoo in one of her photoshoots in which she was seen wearing a blush pink saree for an event.
Next, Samantha has a tattoo dedicated to her debut film 'Ye Maaya Chesave', in which she was seen romancing Naga Chaitanya. Gautham Menon's 2010 romantic drama marked the beginning of #ChaySam's relationship and the diva has always cherished that fact. The tattoo is inked below the nape of her neck and it reads 'YMC'.
The third and final tattoo that Samantha has, has a deeper connection to Chaitanya. We say this because Samantha and Chay got matching tattoos on their forearm, in the form of two arrows. In one of her Instagram photos, Sam is seen flaunting the tattoo that is inked on her right hand. To the same tattoo, Naga Chaitanya added their wedding date in morse code which was decoded by a fan on social media. Samantha had shared on Instagram, "My tattoo means create your own reality. Chay and I got it together. It's really special for us."
