Actor Amrita Rao is currently busy doing an intense workshop to play a news reporter in the soon-to-be-filmed Singh Saheb the Great with Sunny Deol. Directed by Anil Sharma, the film will see her being paired opposite the Deol for the first time, and it’s also a first for Amrita to play a journalist. Recently, she was in for a surprise when she was informed that a song being recorded for the movie will be sung by Sunidhi Chauhan.
A source reveals that when she found that Sunidhi lending her voice for a song, Amrita instantly sent a message to the director, insisting that she wants to be present at the music recording, even though the song was an item number not to be picturised on her. “When the two met at a recording studio in Andheri, they hit it off instantly, forming a mutual admiration club. When Sunidhi realised that Amrita had come to the studio only to hear her sing live, she was extremely touched. The two spent a considerable amount of time even post recording, chatting about films and songs. While Amrita admitted to being a fan of Sunidhi, the singer too revealed that many of the actor’s films were her favourites,” shares a source from the film unit, who was present at the studio. “The two even posed together taking pictures on their mobile phones. It was difficult to say who was the fan and who was the idol,” the source adds.
