Ratan Tata, veteran industrialist passed away on Wednesday, October 9 at the age of 86. As the news of Ratan Tata’s passing spread late Wednesday night, tributes poured in from across the nation. Industry leaders, politicians, and public figures remembered Tata’s legacy, his vision, and the personal impact he had on those who knew him.
Now, megastar Amitabh Bachchan has also expressed grief on Ratan Tata's death.
Amitabh took to his Twitter handle and captioned his post as, “T 5159(i) - .. just came to learn of the passing of Shri Ratan Tata..was working very late ..An era has ended .. a most respected, humble yet visionary leader of immense foresight and resolve..Spent some wonderful moments with him, during several campaigns we were involved in together..My prayers.”
Ratan Tata once co-produced a film titled, Aetbaar. Starring Amitabh Bachchan, John Abraham, and Bipasha Basu in the leading roles, the romantic psychological thriller Aetbaar was released in 2004. To promote the movie before its release, Indiagames also launched a mobile video game based on the film. Aetbaar also tried to cash in on the chemistry between John and Bipasha in the 2003 successful erotic thriller Jism. But, eventually the movie was a massive flop at the box office and failed to even recover its budget. Directed by Vikram Bhatt, Aetbaar was made in Rs 9.50 crore and earned Rs 6.30 crore net in India, facing losses of Rs 3.20 crore as per Box Office India portal. After Aetbaar's failure, Ratan Tata never invested his money in the film business again.
