Most of us will admit to having that silly crush on some teacher during our school days. And when it comes to B-Town, there have been many actors who made for teachers worthy of a major crush. Here are the ones who made it to our list.
Shah Rukh Khan in Mohabbatein
If in Main Hoon Na, he heard violins when he saw his teacher, here he taught students how to play one. And though it was great to see a teacher who encouraged his students to fall in love, it was surprising to see that not a single student had a crush on a teacher who looked like that. And if that wasn’t enough, he went on to play the oh-so-hot stubble-sporting, hockey coach Kabir Khan in Chak De! India.
Simi Garewal in Mera Naam Joker
When Simi Garewal stepped out of a pond that she fell in, trying to break a fight between two of her students, a young Rishi Kapoor fell in love with her immediately. And so did the rest of the country. No B-Town teacher has had as many people falling in love with her as Simi did in this movie.
Sushmita Sen in Main Hoon Na
She is the hot chemistry teacher every boy in his teens has a crush on. Chiffon saris, sexy blouses and aradiant smile, saw Sush turning into a rather glam teacher. SRK falls for her immediately and can even hear violins playing when she is around. Unlike most times, when students eventually get over their crush, this time around the student got to hook up with the teacher when she gets to know that he is actually an Army guy pretending to be a student.
Aamir Khan in Taare Zameen Par
He played the fauxhawk-sporting art teacher who wanted kids to live their lives without having to be burdened by the constant pressure of scoring high marks. No romance angle here, but AK made his character stand out by styling him in a way that was way different. Playing mentor comes easily to him on screen.
Shahid Kapoor in Paathshaala
It’s just unfair that most of us never get teachers who look as good as Shahid did in this movie. No wonder his class was always full. In the movie, he became a favourite with the students whose rights he fought for. Frankly, we are yet to see a teacher as good looking as him on any campus.
Jacqueline Fernandez and Tiger Shroff in A Flying Jatt
Tiger Shroff, who will play a student in Student Of The Year 2, played teacher in A Flying Jatt. He taught the school children martial arts, while Jacqueline is often shown holding a couple of books on environment, but did students attend her class? Nobody knows the answer to that. Not even the director of the film.
Sidharth Malhotra in Baar Baar Dekho
When he began his career he played a student in Karan Johar’s Student of the Year. Four films later, he is standing in front of the blackboard teaching some difficult equations. The yet-to-be released movie sees Sid playing a teacher over a span of many decades. How this teacher fares on the popularity list remains to be seen.
