Bahaubali 2 has released and while the industry as well as the nation is going gaga about the superb collections, the brilliant VFX and the story telling, there's one thing that many have missed out.
In the second part, the characters of the women are more dominant and powerful than the men. Whether it's Ramya Krishnan as the fiery and powerful Sivagami or Anushka Shetty as the fiesty Devasena, the women characters drew more applause than the men for their fearless and extraordinary character traits and bravura performances.
But did you know that Ramya was not SS Rajamouli's first choice to play Sivagami on screen? Well, we bet you didn't. Actually, Rajamouli planned the film with someone else in mind for the role of Mahishmati's Queen.
Who was it? According to reports, Rajamouli wanted to cast Sridevi as Sivagami. But it didn't eventually work out and the team got Ramya on board. Although we love Sridevi, there's something innate about Sivagami that makes us believe that noone but Ramya could have brought out on screen as beautifully.
