SS Rajamouli’s dream vehicle Baahubali hit theatres over two months back and ever since then, the film has been going really strong at the domestic as well as the international box office. But little did anyone apprehend that the film will also receive its first award in a short span of just two and half months. But like all possible records, Baahubali has achieved this feat too.
Baahubali won the Best Special Effects Award at the recently held NDTV Gadgets Guru Awards in Hyderabad. Applauded for its spectacular visual effects, Baahubali was a masterpiece in every frame of it. And it’s the splendid VFX that got them at par with Hollywood’s 300.
Rana Daggubati took the Award on behalf of the entire Baahubali team and he also joked about the film’s shoots. “We shot for over 320 days and the VFX took over thee and half years to be ready,” he smiled. “I and Prabhas have talked about it and we feel that we will only be doing Baahubali all our lives,” Rana joked on stage.
Nevertheless, the award is a well deserved one, given that Baahubali has set new benchmarks of filmmaking in the nation.
