Ridhima Pandit last seen in the popular serial Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant is gearing up to make her debut in a yet-to-be-titled Marathi film. More than her it’s her grand mother and relatives who are elated! She says, “My father is a Maharashtrian and mother is a Gujarati, so my paternal relatives are very happy that I am doing a Marathi film. I am playing a village girl in the film and the first thing I had to do away with was the brown streaks in my hair and dye it black! Also, I had to learn the way Konkanis speak Marathi.”
A slice-of-life film, it has Ridhima playing a completely deglamourised role. “Even if I put a slight blush-on, director Aditya Sarpotdar sees to it that is removed,” smiles the actress who is enjoying the process. “Even before I did Rajni Kant, I was looking at doing Marathi films, because they have really good content,” says Ridhima. The slice-of-life film sees her co-starring with the popular Marathi actor Ankush Choudhari.
