It was in April 2017 that Telugu star Prabhas was last seen on the silver screens when the blockbuster film Baahubali: The Conclusion, a sequel to Baahubali: The Beginning, was released. And almost two years later, the wait for his next film Saaho is still on. Being made on a massive budget of over Rs 300 crores, the film is touted to be a spy thriller directed by Sujeeth Sign and is said to be high on graphics, one of the reasons for the film’s high budget.

Meanwhile, the film’s shoot has been progressing at various locations over the last two years. But the most talked-about location will surely be this huge set that has been recreated at the famous Ramoji Film City of Hyderabad.

It has been reliably learnt that the team was initially keen to get permission to shoot at the Bandra-Worli sea link in Mumbai but decided against it in hindsight thinking of the inconvenience it could cause to the public and the hassle it would be to get the stars out into the public. And so, the location has been recreated by renowned art director Sabu Cyril.

Sources share that the set was built at a cost of Rs 25 crore. Apparently, the team was initially hesitant to recreate the iconic place but turns out they managed it and are quite happy with how it has shaped up.

The first glimpse of the movie was released in the theatres alongside Baahubali 2. In December, it was officially announced that the film is set for a release on Independence Day, August 15, 2019. Starring Shraddha Kapoor as the female lead, the film is a joint production of UV Creations, T-Series, and Dharma Productions and has music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.
