Shilpa Shinde had accused the channel for being biased towards Saumya Tandon and also claimed that she was tortured on the sets. Now, her co-star Saumya has finally spoken up on the entire issue.

News about Shilpa quitting the show started doing the rounds about a few weeks back but it was confirmed only sometime back. Now days after she has already left the show, the TV actress has now given an explosive interview, hitting out at the makers for a slew of reasons. But that's not the end of the story. That's just her version of the story.

Ask Saumya Tandon, her co-star on the show about the whole issue and she seems surprised. While speaking to a leading daily, she said, "It came as a surprise for all of us. Shilpa never discussed her problems with us. All we knew that she stopped coming for the shoot. There is no question of harassment or torture on the sets. We all come, work, pack-up on time and the facilities are also good here. She never spoke to us about any of her problems. We had nothing to do with matter. I don't understand why our name was dragged into the entire controversy."

Shilpa has also called all her co-stars insecure. Continuing on those lines, she added, "It is very sad that our names have unnecessary got dragged into this. Passing such personal comment on co-stars is in very bad taste. Aasif Sheikh has a decade long career and Rohitashv Ji has great body of work as well. I have also been in this industry for last 10 years. I am shocked Shilpa has such things to say about us. It would be below my dignity to comment on Shilpa's insecurity remarks. It is a very petty allegation."

Not just that, Shilpa also alleged that the channel and the makers give a preferential treatment to Saumya and not her. She claimed that she was not allowed to alter her blouses whereas Saumya got a designer of her own. Responding to such allegations, Saumya defends, "At the beginning of the show when I signed the contract, I had made it clear to the producers that I will manage my own designer and make-up. The producers were very sweet and very gracefully they agreed to this condition. This is also mentioned in my contract. From that day onwards my costume and make-up was my responsibility. Post signing the contract the producers never bothered if I wore a Rs 2 costume or a Sabyasachi designer wear. It became my headache. I had made this very clear before coming on board for the show. So the question of preferential treatment does not arise. It was always mentioned in my contract. This was the only thing I asked for from my producers. Post this I haven't demanded anything from the producers."
