Here’s a look at some of the things he has opened up about in the past.

Live and let live

One of the key things Thala believes in is live and let live. When he completed 20 years in the film industry, the only advice to his fans was "be happy and live and let live".

Don’t abuse on social media

One thing that happens on social media frequently is the big war of words between fans. Ajith has asked his fans to not criticise and abuse other actors, who are his colleagues, on social media.

Don’t waste money on posters/ celebrations

On his birthday, his fans would paste posters all around town and celebrate with much fanfare. Ajith has been consistently telling his fans to help the poor and needy on his birthday rather than spending money on things which will go to waste. Charity is close to his heart and he has helped many people himself.

Drive safe

Accidents happen when one least expects it and Ajith has asked people to wear helmets when they are on two-wheelers. He loves to ride bikes but he has always ensured that he wears the safety gear and he would like the general public to do as well. He once said in an interview that it’s better to be safe and spend money on a helmet than suffer an accident.

Don’t just be my fan

A key thing he told his fans early on is to never be just a fan. Ajith wants his fans to work hard and achieve something in life. He was reportedly quoted as saying, “Be my fan, but not just my fan, because one day you’ll wake up and realise you’ve wasted half of your life.”
