Smriti Zubin Irani, before her foray into politics, was a successful model and television actress. Infact, not many know that she was one of the finalists of the Miss India pageant in the year 1998.
As of now she is the Minister of Textiles and a Member of Parliament. She made her Television debut with TV series Aatish and Hum Hain Kal AajAur Kal on the channel Star Plus. She shot to fame with the portrayal of her character 'Tulsi' in popular daily soap Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.
Irani joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in the year 2004. We recently came across this old picture of hers from her modelling days and we couldn't believe how she looked back then.
