Bollywood’s oomph babe Celina Jaitley is busy penning a family memoir and setting up home in Goa.

Celina Jaitley is upbeat about finally getting a break after slogging incessantly for one-and-a-half years. “I haven’t had the time to visit my parents all these days, can you imagine?” remarks Celina, who is putting the break to good use by doing two things: One, tending to her newly-acquired heritage home in Goa, and two, penning a book based on her late grandfather.

“I have acquired a beautiful, quaint little Portuguese colonial bungalow in Goa and am currently involved in resurrecting it because Portuguese bungalows have high-tiled roofs and no loos. Goa has been my dream destination ever since my maternal grandfather used to tell me about his stays over there in the pre-Independence days,” explains Celina, who is all set to pen a book on the memories of her late  grandfather Col. Eric Francis who belonged to the 12 Rajputana Rifles regiment that fought in Burma.

“I have been trying to source out stuff from relatives and have been talking to some of his colleagues who are still around. The book is not to glorify my grandfather’s heroism, which was absolutely fascinating, but to help revive the memory of those brave soldiers who laid down their lives for us.”

Though currently, Celina is looking forward to her role in ‘Shaka Laka Boom Boom’. “I had been wanting to work with Suneel Darshan ever since I was offered ‘Andaz’ and couldn’t do it due to my contract with Feroz Khan. But now my wish has finally come true - I play Sheena, an arrogant and hugely successful media person who uses her sexuality to make or break people! I simply loved this powerful role.”

But what about the news doing the rounds that Celina wants to chuck glam roles in favour of more serious ones? “I certainly am on the lookout for meaty roles but I never said that I wanted to chuck glamorous roles. Come on, I’m at an age where I can carry off glam roles with élan. I’d love to do them but I’m averse to the equation of glam roles being treated as something that you do when you can’t act, which I don’t think is true because them I wouldn’t have had a queue of producers before my door after ‘Red’!” she states, signing off.
