Cops record fisherman's statement in Salman Khan threat case

The actor, his father Salim Khan and at least five of their body guards are likely to be summoned soon, so that their statements too are recorded, a police officer said.

The statements of the six members of the fisherman family, who recently alleged that actor Salman Khan’s bodyguards harassing them, has been recorded by the police on Wednesday.

The Falcon family had alleged that the actor’s bodyguards allegedly started harassing the fishermen there to move their boats and fishing nets away, as they were blocking the view from the cottages.

"The police had called us to record the statements of the family members which is recorded by the assistant commissioner of police Suresh Marathe. We have asked the police to register and an FIR into the matter," said Marikin Falcon, Lawrence’s daughter-in-law told DNA.

Following the issue was raised with the additional commissioner of police Vishwas Nangre Patil by the family and local activists, he has ordered a probe into the matter on March 5 and asked to submit a report within 15 days.

Anil Joseph, president of Perry Road Residents Association said, "The role of actor Salman Khan and his farther Salim along with his bodyguards, as employed by actor, who have been beaten, abused the ladies and burnt their boats."

“The inquiry is going on following on the application and trying to find out the fact of the incident. During the inquiry if we required will record the statement of the concern person. As of now we have not sent summons to Salman Khan and his bodyguard” said assistant commissioner of police Suresh Marathe who is inquiring the matter.
