Aamir Khan's Dangal has finally released on Friday and it has ended the lull at the box office. For the longest time, following the demonetization, films weren't running to full plexes as India ran cashless for around a month. Situations are returning to normalcy now.

Dangal which was already anticipated as this year's biggest film has made its mark on day 1 at the box office. With positive reviews and a great word of mouth, Aamir Khan starrer has managed to rake in around Rs 29-30* crore nett on its opening day at the box office.

This also means that Dangal will be Aamir's second highest opening day figure, following Dhoom 3 which raked in Rs 32.48 crore on Day 1. It has even surpassed Aamir's PK which collected Rs 25.45 crore on its first day at the BO.
