Rating: **

What's it about?

The film is a story about two kids who are selling desi guns called kattey to earn their livelihood. As they grow up they are taken under the wings by a local gangster. However, fate has different plans lined up for them. One of them is mentored by an ex-army officer who decides to give the boy a positive future, while the other kid decides to go back to the world of crime and hate.

What's hot?

The camera work in the film is decent. Of the cast Jay Bhanushali impresses us with his acting and seems convincing in his role. Jay is commendable in his next performance after Hate Story 2. His comic timing is good and he is someone who stands out amidst the herd of actors. Kailash Kher gives a few noteworthy melodious tunes that stay with you even after the end. Claudia Ciesla's Patnewali Hoon Song is catchy and one of the highlights of the film.

What's not?
There are major hiccups in the writing department.  Also the direction is super sketchy and there is no uniformity or path to where the story has to go. Experienced actors like Suniel Shetty and Ashutosh Rana are reduced to doing nothing. Newcomer Akhil Kapur definitely deserved a better role to make this film debut.

What to do?
A fairly decent concept has gone waste because of poor execution and direction. Desi Kattey has too many glitches and loop holes that prevent it from becoming an entertainer.
